Bring Me Another Word With That Bottle

Our stores offer curbside pickup, bringing even more convenience to your visit, read the email from a favorite retailer.

Is convenience something you bring? And how exactly would you bring it to a visit?

I had a similar thought when Facebook said they’re bringing more transparency to their political ads. What an odd thing to take somewhere, which is what bring means. Facebook is making its ads more transparent, and the retailer’s curbside pickup is making it convenient for me to shop with them.

Then there’s the whole thing about bringing value to customers. Deliver value makes more sense. As for that tired expression bring added value, just say add value instead.

And when you come for dinner tonight, please bring me a nice bottle of red.

For the difference between bring and take, read this quick and clear explanation from dictionary.com.
