Drop “Currently” From Your Out-of-Office Replies

As you can imagine, when I send out my posts, I get a lot of out-of-office replies. More often than not, the messages say the recipient is currently out of the office until a future date, which doesn’t make much sense.

Would you say, “I’m out of the office at the present time until August 2”?

Probably not.

The better message would be, I’m out of the office and will return August 2.

You could also say, I’m out of the office, and I’m not coming back.

I’m waiting for that one.

Happy Summer, everyone!
