“I Don’t Care”

When a big executive of a big company made a big announcement about a service that promises to change the way we pay for things, he said his company is interested only in making transactions easier. When it comes to tracking what people are buying, where they’re buying, or how much they’re paying, he said bluntly: “We could care less.”

In a tribute to the late Joan Rivers, the comedian was pictured with her grandson. The caption quoted her saying, “I know he’s spoiled rotten. I couldn’t care less.”

Who had it right?

Joan Rivers.

Be careful when you say, “I could care less.” It means you care.
